Have a favorite sweater or top that’s difficult to get on and off? I can thoughtfully modify your garment to include a back snap opening for easier, more comfortable dressing.
This is a request-a-quote service. After we connect and confirm your garment is a good candidate, I will create a custom invoice for your approval before any work begins.

What This Service Includes
Your garment will be carefully modified to include:
- A back opening (full or partial, depending on garment and need)
- Professionally installed metal snaps (color matched when possible)
- Cleanly finished edges (cut, serged, and hemmed for durability and comfort)
Because the garment is cut, finished, and re-hemmed, a small amount of width will be lost during the modification process.
Best Garment Types
This modification works best on structured knit garments such as:
- Sweaters
- Sweatshirts
- Knit tops
Very delicate fabrics or flowy woven blouses may not be suitable for this type of alteration. Fabric compatibility will always be discussed and confirmed before you send your item.

Pricing

Starting at $15 per garment
More complex requests may increase pricing, including:
- Very thick fabrics
- Lined garments
- Specialty materials
- Additional custom adjustments
A full quote will be provided before any work begins.

How the Process Works
- Send an inquiry with details about your garment (photos are helpful!).
- We’ll confirm fabric suitability and modification details.
- I’ll create a custom invoice for you.
- You ship your clean garment to me.
- Once received, turnaround time begins.
Customer is responsible for shipping the garment to my studio. Return shipping will be included on your custom invoice.
Turnaround Time
10–15 business days from the date I receive your garment
(Shipping time to and from my studio is not included.)

If a garment is determined to be unsuitable upon arrival, I will contact you before proceeding with any modification.
While every effort is made to provide high-quality workmanship, I am not responsible for manufacturer defects, weakened fabric, or damage related to pre-existing wear. Modifying customer-supplied clothing always carries some inherent risk, which will be discussed before work begins.
